Maja Salvador has finally put an end to the vicious rumours that the mother of Gerald Anderson used to mistreat her when they used to be a couple.
Maja was recently invited as a guest in the popular talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Thursday and she revealed that contrary to the initial report, she actually had a good relationship with Evangeline Opsima, the mother of Gerald Anderson.
However, Maja revealed that the misunderstanding between her and Gerald started when Anderson decided to keep their relationship private. Maja added: “Kasi siguro sobrang private lang namin ni Gerald dati.”
She further said “kasi po nung umpisa –ganoon naman eh nagpaka-nanay. Siyempre sobrang mahal niya ang anak niya… Pero noong kami po ni Gerald, inalagaan niya din po ako at naramdaman ko na minahal po niya ako.”
If we can still remember, Gerald’s Mom, Evangeline actually warned him to “be careful” with Maja Salvador.
Gerald himself misunderstood his Mom’s statement though. Eventually, he has since denied that his previous relationship with Maja was disapproved by his mother.
how her relationship with Anderson affected her friendship with friend and fellow actress Kim Chiu
In a related interview, Maja was asked about the status of her friendship with fellow actress and how her previous relationship with Anderson affected her friendship with fellow actress Kim Chiu and Maja at this point said: “May mga bagay na kaming dalawa lang ni Kim ang nakakaalam.”
“At parang ayaw ko na pong idetalye iyong mga ‘yun at ayaw ko nang balikan kasi sa ngayon sobrang happy ako na okay kami. …Kung dati nawasak, sobrang nadurog, ito paunti-unti binubuo ulit.”
For those who don’t know, Gerald used to be the boyfriend of Kim Chiu prior to his relationship with Maja. When the two admitted that they were in a relationship sometime in early 2013, Kim was deeply heart and emotionally affected with their admission.
Well, as the saying goes: ‘There’s no permanent friend and no permanent enemy. Let bygones be bygones. ’However, whatever you believe in, then let it be.
