It looks like the competition between the two rival shows, It’s Showtime and Eat Bulaga is getting more intense and interesting to watch, as the two shows are doing their best to outdo each other to perform better in the ratings game.
Both shows are trying to win the attention and curiosity of the viewers by devising strategies that will captivate the hearts of the audience and television watchers convincingly.
Throughout the week, “It’s Showtime” kept inching closer to narrow the gap against its rival show “Eat Bulaga.”The viewing performance of “It’s Showtime” improved tremendously owing its better ratings to the relentless search for love of social media sensation Angelica Jane Yap, more popularly known as “Pastillas Girl” and proving to be the lucky charm for the noontime show.
During the September 18 episode of “It’s Showtime,” it amassed a nationwide TV rating of 18.9%, just a small percentage points gap lower than the 20.6% rating of “Eat Bulaga.”This is according to the statistics released by Kantar Media.
Meantime, the Kapamilya shows have been steadily dominating the crucial primetime block. The Teleseryes “Pangako Sa Yo,” “Nathaniel,” “On the Wings of Love,” and “Pasion de Amor,” were consistently in the top 5, alongside with “TV Patrol” news program.
Last Saturday,September 19, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” was the most watched program nationwide with a national TV rating of 32.2%, while Kapamilya shows dominated the top four spots on Sunday, September 20 with “Wansapanataym” getting 29.9%, followed by “Goin’ Bulilit” (24.7%), “Your Face Sounds Familiar” and “Rated K” garnering 24.6%.
As of press time, ABS-CBN, Kapamilya network primetime TV programs remained the most-viewed television shows during the beginning of the week.
