Boy Abunda dubbed as the “King of Talk,” publicist and talent manager invited Alex Gonzaga in his talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda,” to air her view about the celebrated scratching incident with Luis Manzano, in fairness to Alex.
Gonzaga revealed to Boy Abunda that she felt compelled to accidentally scratch Luis in retaliation to what the “Family Feud” and “Pilipinas Got Talent” host did to her.
Alex recounted that it all started when Manzano invited her to a gym.
She remarked: “So nag Muay Thai kami. Habang nagpla-planking ako, nasa last 10 seconds na ako, hirap na hirap na ako, iyong t-shirt niya na pawis na pawis, inilagay niya sa bibig ko.”
“Nainom ko ang pawis niya! Ang sinabi niya nakikita niya kasi na kulang ako sa electrolytes. Pinainom niya yung pawis niya sa akin.”
“So sa sobrang inis ko, tumayo ako at hinablot ko siya,” she added.
However, Alex clarified that her action was not intentional when she “scratched” Luis fiercely, that “crippled” Manzano who sent a text message to her after the incident.
The singer, actress remarked: “So itong si Kuya Luis, nagte-text pa sa akin na hindi raw siya makagalaw dahil sa kalmot ko –pagiging OA lang namin magkaibigan. One time daw hindi siya makatayo talaga, kailangan pang pumunta ng mga nurse.”
Eventually, Luis called his Mom and Dad to inform them of what Alex did to him, and because of this Batangas Governor, Vilma Santos and actor Edu Manzano reacted to the situation by sending video messages to Gonzaga blurting out for “scratching” their son, Luis Manzano.
Governor Vilma Santos said on the video: “Balita ko panay daw ang kalmot mo sa anak ko. Alam mo mula pa nung maliit yan, hindi ko nasaktan yan, kahit papaano.”
Luis posted a photo in his Twitter account revealing his arm “scratched” by Alex.
Gonzaga responded by sending unedited messages to Luis, in her inscription, she wrote: “Manunumbong ka talaga!!!!! Inabala mo pa si ate Vi!!! Pero happy ako sa dulo nung video may i love you sakin si Gov!!! Hihihi love all the Santos’ and Manzano’s except @luckymanzano.”
Luis Manzano also posted on his Instagram account a short video clip of his Dad Edu Manzano, who wittingly remarked: “Cathy, kinalmot mo iyung anak ko. Alam ko bahay mo.”
Alex Gonzaga treats Luis Manzano like a brother. They worked together as co-hosts on reality singing competition, “The Voice Kids” and the two also perform on “ASAP” every Sunday.
