The prolific actor, film director, producer and dubbed as the “Bad Boy” of Philippine Cinema, as he characterized protagonist gangster roles, Robin Padilla d Senator Antonio Trillanes III on the wrangle involving the alleged absence of due process in the bank account of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
Padilla joined the supporters of presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Duterte during the protest in front of BPI Julia Vargas branch on Monday morning of May 2, as an act of defiance to the situation involving the dealings of Davao City Mayor in the bank.
This protest is akin to the statement of vice-presidential contender and Senator Antonio Trillanes III challenging the Mayor Duterte to be transparent in his BPI account which Duterte allegedly used in his transaction amounting to “2.4 billion pesos” since 2006 until last year, 2015.
Robin posted a photo of him in the said rally together with some of the Philippine National Police (PNP) officials.
Enclosed in the photo was a message saying: “Bagamat naghihikahos ang RULE of LAW sa ating Bansa Inaasahan ko at ipinagdadasal ko na maging mapayapa ang araw na ito. Mabuhay ang PNP.”
Meanwhile, in a separate report of CNN Philippines, Robin Padilla disclosed that he’s planning to withdraw his money out of his personal account at BPI, in protest against the lack of due process on the controversy associated with Mayor Duterte.
The actor and Pilipinas Got Talent 5 judge condemned the alleged politicizing tactic of Senator Trillanes versus the Davao City Mayor, Duterte.
Robin remarked: “Hindi kasi puwede dapat yun. Nakakatawa dahil dapat may bank secrecy law.
“At itong si Senator Trillanes, hindi naman sumusunod sa batas. Di ba, dapat bago ka magbintang, kailangan may pruweba ka? Nasaan yung pruweba mo?”
