Singer Aiza Seguera just called Manny Pacquiao a “hypocrite, ignorant and bigoted” because of his view towards same-sex marriage.
In a 30-second video of “Bilang Pilipino” at Facebook, the boxing champ and senatorial candidate expressed his opinion concerning a very sensitive issue about same-sex marriage.
Manny even made a comparison between men and animals as a classic example to share his view of disagreement towards the issue of same-sex marriage.
“Mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao” – This was the brutal statement of senatorial candidate, Manny Pacquiao regarding the issue of same-sex marriage which infuriated Aiza Seguera.
Manny’s rant about same-sex marriage also drew a lot of negative reactions from the netizens.
The “Pambansang Kamao” paradoxically compared men and animals to convey his contention against same-sex marriage.
Manny said: “Mas mabuti pa ang hayop, marunong kumilala kung lalaki o lalaki, babae o babae, di ba?
“Ngayon, kung lalaki sa lalaki, babae sa babae, e, mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao.”
During the time that this story is being written, Pacquiao’s name is already trending on Twitter because of his disclosure about the issue. Most of the netizens did not like what he said, which included singer and actor, Aiza Seguera, who is in fact a transgender and married to actress, Liza Dino.
In her Instagram account, Aiza pronounced her disappointment and disgust against the Pinoy boxing champ, she said: “I am so fuckin’ mad I don’t know what to say… You might’ve done our country proud but with your statement, you just showed the whole country why we shouldn’t vote for you.
And yes, I think you are an ignorant, bigoted hypocrite.
You made me lose all respect that I had for you, Mr. Pacquiao.”
Subsequently, Aiza also reminded the voters in the forthcoming May 2016 elections which she emphasized in her post: “Ang kailangan ng bansang ito ay mga taong nag-iisip. Utang na loob, kilalanin ninyo ang iboboto ninyo.”
