Kapamilya actor, Albert Martinez feels bad about his All Of Me co-star, JM de Guzman, who was the original male lead actor of the inspiring teleserye because De Guzman’s personal issues has affected his work. This resulted in Albert replacing him and resuming the male lead role as Manuel in the series.
Albert Martinez said on JM de Guzman: “Being candid about it, I felt bad. I really felt so bad. Kasi, number one, he’s young. Number two, hindi lahat ng tao nabibigyan ng ganung klaseng opportunity, ng second chance. Number three, he’s very talented. Nakita ko yung sarili ko sa kanya eh, kung gaano siya mag-focus sa trabaho, magpursige, kung gaano niya mahalin [ang trabaho niya. Tapos, dumating sa ganoong situation. Pero parang nadurog din yung puso ko sa nangyari sa kanya.”
JM de Guzman, was previously embroiled in a similar sticky situation when he was the star of the daytime drama series, Angelito: Batang Ama together with his female co-star, Charee Pineda. But because the management of ABS-CBN was impressed with his exceptional acting ability particularly in that teleserye, he was given a second chance via All Of Me.
Unfortunately, JM de Guzman went back to his previous personal issues and concerns which forced the Kapamilya management to take action and take him out of the show.
In a recent post, JM de Guzman confessed to being bipolar, he said: “I lost control with myself again.”
He apologized for “losing control” following his much-speculated Instagram posts regarding his drug addiction and staying in a rehabilitation centre for 17 months undergoing treatment.
Albert is only hoping for the best for JM de Guzman, that the right time and opportunity will come for JM to come back in the All of Me drama series.
“And I’m still hoping na sana, kung sasabihin nila [ABS-CBN management], ‘Oh, balik na!’ I will give it back to him (JM’s role in All Of Me). Because deserving siya, eh. I mean, wala akong maisip na ibang taong gagawa nun except him. Dahil ibig sabihin, ganun niya kagaling hinandle yung character.” Albert said.
Albert also disclosed that he doesn’t communicate with JM de Guzman.
Apparently, according to him: “Ang communication lang namin was during sa taping, sa set. Other than that, wala.”
